Revenue Sources

Journal of Plant Biota [ISSN: 3034-4863 (Online)] operates as a self-financed journal, without external support from any agency or government. The sole revenue streams are Article Processing Charges (APC) and subscriptions for print issues. The APC follows a sliding scale, offering reduced rates for publication charges in low and middle-income countries. These financial resources cover operational expenses, including the costs associated with web presence, print versions, pre-press preparations, and staff salaries.

Article Processing Charge (APC) for Journal of Plant Biota

All articles published in the Journal of Plant Biota [ISSN: 3048-4863 (Online)] are fully open access, ensuring free and immediate availability of published content to the global scientific community. To support the journal’s operational costs, including peer review, copyediting, typesetting, long-term archiving, and journal management, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 100 USD applies to accepted papers.

We aim to keep the APC affordable to encourage high-quality research submissions while maintaining a rigorous peer-review process and ensuring broad accessibility.
