AIM and Scope

The Journal of Plant Biota [ISSN:  3034-4863 (Online)] is dedicated to advancing the understanding of plant biology and its multifaceted interactions within ecosystems. Our aim is to serve as a premier platform for the dissemination of cutting-edge research, critical insights, and transformative ideas that contribute to the advancement of plant science and its applications.

Scope:

1. Plant Physiology and Biochemistry: We welcome research elucidating the physiological and biochemical processes that govern plant growth, development, metabolism, and response to environmental stimuli.
2. Plant Genetics and Genomics: Contributions exploring the genetic basis of plant traits, inheritance patterns, genomics, epigenetics, and gene regulation are encouraged.
3. Plant Ecology and Evolution: We seek studies investigating the ecological dynamics of plant populations, communities, and ecosystems, as well as evolutionary processes shaping plant diversity and adaptation.
4. Plant Anatomy and Morphology: Research elucidating the structural organization, morphology, and anatomical adaptations of plants across different taxa and habitats is within the scope of the journal.
5. Plant Interactions and Symbioses: We invite investigations into plant interactions with other organisms, including symbiotic relationships with microbes, fungi, animals, and neighboring plants.
6. Plant Biotechnology and Molecular Biology: Manuscripts focusing on the application of biotechnological tools, molecular techniques, genetic engineering, and omics approaches for crop improvement, bioprospecting, and sustainable agriculture are welcome.
7. Plant Diversity and Conservation: We encourage research on plant diversity, biogeography, conservation strategies, and the preservation of endangered plant species and habitats.
8. Plant Responses to Abiotic and Biotic Stresses: Studies elucidating plant responses to abiotic factors (e.g., temperature, drought, salinity) and biotic factors (e.g., pathogens, herbivores) are of particular interest.
9. Plant-Environment Interactions: Research exploring the role of plants in ecosystem functioning, nutrient cycling, climate regulation, and ecosystem services is encouraged.
10. Applied Plant Biology: We invite contributions addressing the practical applications of plant biology in agriculture, forestry, horticulture, phytomedicine, bioremediation, and sustainable resource management.

The Journal of Plant Biota aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and excellence in plant science research. Journal of Plant Biota welcome original research articles, reviews, perspectives, and methodological advances that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in plant biology and biota.
